The Asia Pacific Brands Foundation has awarded the College with the coveted award in Corporate Branding – Best Brands in Education - College category. Winning The BrandLaureate - SMEs Chapter Award 2009 is a great start to the New Year and adds more joy to the celebration of the College 40 golden years of achievements and progress.

Dr Tan Chik Heok, the Principal of TAR College received the Award on behalf of the College at the Gala Dinner on January 8, 2010 at the Shangri-La Hotel. The Award, comprising a Certificate and a special Trophy was presented by the Guest-of-Honour, Tan Sri Rafidah Binti Abdul Aziz, the former Minister of International Trade and Industry.

Dr K K Johan, the Chief Executive Officer of The BrandLaureate emphasized in his speech at the Gala Dinner Award night that winning such an award is a testament of the hard work put in to build their brands, especially with the financial downturn during the last two years. He added that strong brands contribute significantly to the nation’s economy.

Being an Award winning brand reaffirms the College tradition of excellence in delivering quality and affordable education to many young Malaysians. It reflects on the College good efforts and passion in advancing its reputation in holistic teaching and quality programmes.
