Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TAR College) celebrated the convocation of its 346 students who have completed the US Campbell University Bachelor of Science degree programmes.
Dr Dwaine Greene, the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs of Campbell University, presented scrolls to all the graduands during the ceremony held at the College Main Campus in Setapak.
In his address to the graduands, Dr Greene encouraged the students to develop the attitude of caring and responsiveness to the human needs to help improve the social well-being.
He also said that the academic foundation that the graduands have obtained would be the foundation for their continuous growth and attaining great achievements.
Started 30 years ago, the collaboration between the two institutions offered an innovative way for the students to obtain an American degree on top of the TAR College Advanced Diploma qualification at an affordable fee without having to leave the Malaysian shore.
Described by the College Council Chairman YB Tan Sri Ong Ka Ting as “providing the best of both worlds”, these programmes have thus far benefited a total of 11,975 TAR College science and IT graduates who have gone on to contribute in the various industries in Malaysia and abroad. |
