“The practical public relations and management skills that I have learnt during my years of study at TAR College would definitely be helpful as I further my studies and adapt to different cultures,” said the confident lass who will be commencing her study in September this year.

The College also prides itself in producing yet another high achiever Lau Yen Hoon, an Advanced Diploma in Commerce (Business Management) graduate who emerged as winner of the Ambank Group prize for the best paper in Corporate Financial Management in the December 2008 Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) examination. 

Lau followed the footstep of her senior Woo Vi Dea, who was the earlier winner for the Ambank Group prize as well as the Tricor group prize for best paper in Corporate Secretaryship in the June 2008 examination. They were among the 15 top achievers nationwide who received their award certificates from the Minister of Higher Education YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin during the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA) convocation held at Putra World Trade Centre last month.

“I was really surprised when I was informed that I have won the prize because the Corporate Financial Management paper is the subject that I dread the most! I am really thankful to all my lecturers and tutors as they were really helpful in my preparation for the examination.  I would not have completed my ICSA qualification without their guidance and advice,” said Lau.

“I believe that my years at TAR College have provided me with a strong ground in building my career path,” said Lau who plans to pursue a career in the field of company secretarial and management.
