Exciting Campus Environment Awaits Students at TAR College

When looking for an all-round tertiary education, comprehensive facilities are a crucial ingredient that school leavers look for. At TAR College, they can look forward to enjoying an outstanding study environment. The College’s impressive range of facilities are constantly upgraded and new facilities are added from time to time.

Visitors to the College would surely notice the ongoing construction at its Kuala Lumpur Main Campus. Taking shape during the past few months is the new Cyber Centre in its sprawling 186-acre campus. To be completed by the end of this year, the three-storey modern hi-technology Cyber Centre has a total built-up area of 100,000 sq. ft and will house Internet labs, multimedia training rooms, E-learning labs, teaching labs, language labs and other IT facilities. About 20 cubicles would be available for private use or group studies. It will be the ICT hub for the College administration as well as provide state-of-the-art IT facilities for staff and students.

“I think having the Cyber Centre is a brilliant idea that will benefit the students and lecturers,” said Chia Pei Lyn, who had recently obtained 4As in her A Level examinations. “TAR College houses many excellent facilities which are in very good condition. This improves the students’ learning experience here in the College.”

Right next to the Cyber Centre is a vacant lot that is waiting for yet another construction project to begin. This is the site of the proposed six-storey Administrative Building that will accommodate the main offices of TAR College. When completed, both the Cyber Centre and the Administrative Building would become the newest landmarks in the College.

Physical development at TAR College encompasses all its 5 Branch Campuses as well. In fact, the College can be proud of having 4 Olympic-sized swimming pools in its campuses. In the past two years, the College has relocated its Sabah Branch Campus to new premises in Donggongon that is six-times larger than its previous premises. Over at the Perak Branch Campus, its Phase 2 Building Project has added an auditorium, a tutorial block, a clubhouse with squash courts, function rooms, seminar rooms, and a swimming pool to the campus.

TAR College boasts of a comprehensive range of leading-edge facilities to provide a student-centred learning environment. Some other recent additions include the Sports Complex, sports science lab, fully furnished and operational training kitchen and restaurant, four leading edge CISCO networking labs, wireless broadband connectivity, E-Library, virtual classroom, as well as various labs and workshops with industry-standard equipment and software. Students at TAR College are certainly a fortunate lot to be studying in such well-equipped campuses!

“The facilities that I often used are the library, the badminton courts and the IT facilities at Communication and Information Technology Centre,” said Sumitha, who recently graduated from the College. “I will surely come back to take a look at the upcoming facilities when they are completed!”
