IME MoU signing on a new research partnership
 
TAR College signed an MoU on 10 November 2009 with IME Trading Sdn Bhd (IME) to formalize a cooperative partnership in the areas of education, engineering and project management in conjunction to the set up of the College new research centre called Advanced Engineering Research Centre (AERC).

TAR College Advanced Diploma in Mass Communication (Public Relations) Year 1 and Advertising Year 2 students organised an environmental conservation event themed S.O.S EARTH in TAR College KL Main Campus. The event aimed to create awareness and a sense of urgency among young Malaysians about protecting the earth, its life and natural environment.

RM6.3 million worth of scholarships awarded for 2009
 
TAR College held its Scholarship Presentation Ceremony at the KL Main Campus College Hall, which was attended by more than a 1,000 scholars. The scholarships presented were TAR College Merit Scholarship, the TAR College–Star Education Fund Scholarship and the TAR College–Nanyang Tertiary Education Fund Scholarship.

A batch of about 270 students graduated from the TAR College – Sheffield Hallam University collaborative programme during the recent Graduation Ceremony held at Shangri la Hotel. In the same weekend, Councillor Paul Scriven of Sheffield City Council and John Palmer, Director of Corporate Communications of Sheffield Hallam University also conducted a special talk entitled “Sheffield as the destination for tertiary education” during the College Open Day.
