TAR College Students Raise RM 38, 234 in “A Cut Above Charity” Campaign
 

Final year advanced diploma students of Mass Communications, majoring in Public Relations and Media Studies, recently collaborated with A  Cut Above Academy to organise a fund-raising haircut themed "A Cut Above Charity" to benefit Hospis Malaysia.

YB Chua Tee Yong, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry, officiated campaign and donated to the three-day event held at the KL Campus College Hall which saw a huge response with each haircut priced at only RM 10.

Various games and activities were also conducted alongside the haircuts, such as MONOpportunity (which featured a life-size monopoly set) and the Bald Challenge which saw the Head of School of Social Science and Humanities, Mr Lee Hwee Chuin, along with six other volunteers shaving their heads for charity on the last day.

TAR College Open Day
 
Soon-to-be school leavers taking their first steps into higher education were given guidance by TAR College in its Open Day held from 17 to 19 December 2010 at the all its branches.

The KL Campus open day was held in the TAR College Sports Complex which saw participation of its five schools of studies and various student societies to make the event a lively one.

TAR College was also spotted in the FACON Education Fair and the Education & Further Studies Fair which also happened over the weekend.

TAR College Students Emerged as Second Runner-ups in “Pertandingan Rekabentuk Rumah 1 Malaysia”
 
The recent “Pertandingan Rekabentuk Rumah 1 Malaysia” (a.k.a The 1 Malaysia House Design Contest) contest, held from the 28th to 30th November in UiTM, saw a team of TAR College students from the School of Technology(SOT) clinching a second runner-up position.

This team of second year students pursuing a Diploma in Architecture have much to celebrate as they have won a total of RM 3,000.00 for their invested time and efforts.

Interschool Sports Carnival
 
The Interschool Sports Carnival is an annual event to promote healthy competition, comradeship and networking within the Tarcian community.
 
More than 800 students from KL Main Campus and the branch campuses of Penang, Perak, Johor and Pahang participated in the exciting matches in badminton, table tennis, squash, swimming, basketball, volleyball, football and chess.

Asian Cultural Fair
 
The Chinese Language Society keeps TARCians captivated by bringing together cultures from countries like Malaysia, China, Thailand, Korea and Taiwan in a four-day Asian Cultural Fair filled with good food and fun activities.
