Eager students in discussion with Mr Schlesinger (extreme left) watched by Principal Ms Yoong (4th from right).

On July 9, 2007, Mr Michael Schlesinger from the George Washington University School of Law gave an insightful presentation to students on copyright protection which covered everything from pictures, movies, music, and even computer games.
Copying without permission, also known as pirating, hurts everyone as copyright losses amount to USD30-35 billion a year and this sum does not even include Internet infringements. Piracy deprives firms of income and investment funds. Ultimately the consumer suffers as less investment funds are channeled to conduct research which affects the introduction of new and better products.
Mr Schlesinger later dwelt on how copyrights work and students milled around him after the talk to exchange ideas and ask him more on this subject.
A large and participative crowd reacting to Mr Schlesinger's questions.
