TAR College showcased its academic courses, facilities and student services during its Open Day which was held from 6-8th, 12-29th of March 2009. Over 17,341 members of the public, mostly parents and students came for the Open Day to find out more about the affordable and quality courses offered by the College.
The Open Day was held just before and after the release of the SPM and STPM results. It is the platform for the College to promote its courses for the May intake.
Most parents and students made a beeline to the School of Business (SBS) booth… not surprising as TAR College is well known for its accounting courses and has gone on to win awards and achievements in this area. Visitors were attracted to the dazzling designs of fashion, accessories and craft designs displayed on the two life-sized mannequins at the booth of the School of Social Science and Humanities (SSH).

The programme highlights included the “Study at Sheffield Hallam University” Talk and tasting sessions on the culinary delights prepared by students from SSH.
The interesting science experiments at the School of Pre-University Studies booth was a crowd puller. Other activities included the English Language Games, the Campus tour, Counseling talks, displays of students’ works at the booths of School of Technology & School of Arts and Science and a one-stop customer enquiry booth.
TAR College is aware of students’ dilemma in choosing or “shopping” for courses. This specially organised Open Day is to assist students in making the right choices for their higher education. |
