The TAR College Computer Science Society together with TAR College Microsoft Student Partners organized a technology event called MIX Launch 2009 from 27th to 29th March 2009 at the College KL Main Campus.
The objectives of this event were to provide a platform for students to learn and experience the latest web development technologies as well as to encourage students to enhance their knowledge and practical skills, such as programming and multimedia design skills, marketing skills, and soft skills like teamwork, leadership and presentation skills.
In her speech, Head of School of Arts and Science Dr. Ng Swee Chin stressed that the knowledge of the latest IT tools and technologies are essential for students to upgrade themselves in order to excel in their areas of specialization.
The highlights of the event included talks on the latest Microsoft web development softwares presented by the guests from Microsoft and also workshops conducted by Microsoft Student Partners, student committee members as well as TAR College alumni.

opener that helps students to think in a more creative and innovative way. I am definitely looking forward to an event of this nature to be held next year!” said Vinesh Tee Chee Siong, a first year Advanced Diploma in Science (Computer Science and Management Mathematics) student who participated in the event.
