SolidWorks,
a 3D computer aided design software used mainly for mechanical engineering
design, is the latest addition to the professional and technical certification
programmes provided by TAR College that are much sought after by the
industry locally and globally.
To support the College’s effort in ensuring the relevance of
its courses, the School of Technology works closely with IME Trading
Sdn Bhd, a SolidWorks Authorized Training, Testing and Support Centre
to integrate the learning of the software into the Mechanical and
Manufacturing Engineering course syllabus.
In addition, the School
also conducted workshops in collaboration with TAR College’s
Centre for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) to provide SolidWorks
software training for students at a nominal fee.
The workshops that were conducted at the Basic and Advanced levels
during the months of February and March have garnered an overwhelming
response from the students.
The College continues to maintain close liaison with
the industry to keep tabs of industrial and technological
developments in order to help students in acquiring the necessary
knowledge and skills that matches the employment market needs. |
