Make English Your Slave, Master It Now!

That is what TAR College Sabah Branch Campus’ English Language Society (ELS) is trying to instill in students’ mind through fun and interactive language-based activities for them throughout the year. By taking a more proactive approach this year, ELS hopes to meet the College’s objective of improving students’ mastery of the English language and at the same time build up their confidence in using the language.

It was a success as students were filled with excitement as they ecstatically participated in games such as crossword puzzles, charades and Scrabble board game that tested their vocabulary and analytical skills to the limits. On the other hand, intense rivalry was very much in the air in competitions such as public speaking and debates as teams battled it out in order to become the ultimate speaker and best debater.

Strength in togetherness ….

At the end of the day, with great enthusiasm and full participation from the students, the ELS managed to fulfill its objective. Through such fun-filled activities, it has in no uncertain terms evoked in everyone’s mind the significance of mastering the English language.
