Walk on water .… Students took a one-hour walk to a nearby
island during low tide. |
| The Student Welfare Committee
of TAR College Sabah Branch Campus organized its first student camp
on 13 and 14 January 2007 at Borneo Paradise Resort, Papar. Fifty-one
students and five staff took part in the two-day camp at the resort
which is about 30 minutes away from Kota Kinabalu city. |
| The aims of the camp were
to help participants build leadership skills, learn the ways to establish
effective communication, develop good attitude, and be on a journey
of self-discovery through a series of talks namely “Discover
Who You Are” and “Relationship With Others”
plus other thought-engaging activities. Apart from that, the students
had some fun walking for about an hour to an island during low tide.
|
| Prizes were awarded to winners of group
games and talent show competition. The camp received encouraging feedback
from participants as most of them responded positively. Overall, the
camp taught the students about leadership, nature awareness and team
spirit through fun experiences. |
