Graduation ceremonies are
always surrounded by an air of excitement and a touch of grandeur.
The Liverpool John Moores University (JMU) and Sheffield Hallam University
(SHU) convocation ceremonies held on 12 March and 19 March 2006 respectively,
were no exceptions.
This year’s convocation ceremonies saw a total of 533 JMU and
473 SHU graduands receiving scrolls from the UK universities. The
JMU graduands were honoured by the presence of YB Dato’ Seri
Ong Ka Ting, TAR College Council Chairman and Minister of Housing
and Local Government while YB Dato’ Sri Chan Kong Choy, TAR
College Council Member and Minister of Transport congratulated SHU
graduands for their success.
Jubilant graduands were joyfully snapping away photographs for remembrance
and celebrating their achievements with friends and family members.
Parents were no less ecstatic seeing their hard work and dedication
towards their children’s education finally paid off. It was
also another proud moment for TAR College staff and lecturers to witness
their students’ important milestone in life. |
| The unique partnership
between TAR College and JMU as well as SHU enables students to gain
valuable overseas exposure at an affordable expenditure. Parents have
heaped praise on TAR College for arranging this unique optional programme.
Due to the recognition of the Advanced Diploma by these UK universities,
their children can obtain an Honours degree upon completion of their
Advanced Diploma by attending a 14-week Honours degree conversion
programme in the United Kingdom. In the words of one of the graduates,
“This collaboration has been a vehicle for many of us to
fulfill our dreams of studying abroad … and has really given
us the best of both worlds.” |
| TAR College has always been
at the forefront in promoting a wholesome education to all young Malaysians.
The College always takes pride in each and every student produced.
To all the graduates of 2005, you are now proudly a part of the fraternity
of TAR College alumni. Be the College’s ambassador and never
forget your alma mater. The College wishes its graduates great success
in their future endeavours! |
