TARCian at SEA
Games
|
| TAR College was
represented at the last SEA Games in the Philippines when Ling Fei
Wen, an Advanced Diploma in Mass Communication (Media Studies) student,
signed up to become a volunteer. In fact, she was the sole foreign
volunteer at the Games. Her duties ranged from handing out uniforms
to taking care of younger volunteers. Best of all, she got to visit
different sports venues each day! |
| Volunteering at
the Games was a natural step for Fei Wen. She has always been very
active at TAR College. In all her four years at the College, she was
in the organizing committees for orientation nights and talent time.
Fei Wen said TAR College is a good choice for students who want more
than just studying. The College has many societies and clubs catering
to a wide range of interests so that students get to enjoy a wholesome
learning experience. |
“The College has
everything for students and it’s really up to them to participate,”
she said. “Students should really be looking for opportunities
and find ways to be a well-rounded person.”
Going to the Philippines was a brave move and Fei Wen hopes others
would see it as an inspiration to work towards accomplishing what
they have always dreamt about.
“If you haven’t tried, you’ll never know,”
she said.
