Twenty students
glowed with excitement as they became the pride of TAR College by
achieving outstanding results in the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia
(STPM) 2005 examinations. Topping the academic chart was Wong Yee
Ming who has scored 5As in his Pengajian Am, Chemistry, Biology, Physics
and Mathematics T papers, with an outstanding 4.0 CGPA. Sharing the
limelight are eight students who scored 4As – from the Science
stream Yap Tiong Leh, Woon Kok Sin, Hashvina A/P Sukesh, Soon Wei
Ann, Ronald Lee Fook Seng, and Chang Kin Poh, as well as Lai Hong
Chui and Woh Wei Sin from the Arts stream. Eleven other students have
also contributed to this year’s shining record by bagging 3As
respectively. |

When interviewed, top student
Wong Yee Ming dedicated his success to the experienced and committed
lecturers of School of Pre-University Studies who have always gone
the extra mile for him. Other top scorers also gave their thumbs up
to the lecturers, where they commended the lecturers for their approachability
and for helping the students overcome the numerous challenges they
faced in their studies. The students also remarked that they have
learnt a great deal from the effective pedagogy employed by the College’s
lecturers. |
