| Three Microsoft solutions were launched at the Microsoft Technologies Day on 28 March 2006 at TAR College organized by the Computer Science Society. The event saw the release of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006. Cheah Boon Kiat, Phua Chai Meng and Moy Hong Chiang who were the Microsoft Student Ambassadors showed a step-by-step technical demonstration on the functions of the new Microsoft solutions which captivated the audience. When approached, Phua Chai Meng had this to say about the event, “This event has given us the opportunity to work together as a team and cooperate in planning and producing a programme that would expose students and interested parties to some of the latest technologies in IT. IT is not just for the tech-savvy but for anyone who would take the time to pick it up and utilise it.” |

The event was organized to
provide TAR College students and faculty with first-hand knowledge
on the latest Microsoft development tools and technologies. The Microsoft Technologies Day has further enhanced TAR College’s partnership with Microsoft, a leading developer of software technologies in the world. |
