New Partnership Adds Exciting Dimension to Engineering Courses
TAR College signed a memorandum of understanding with MTS Didactic Sdn Bhd (MTS) paving the way for Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programming and Simulation Training and Joint Certification between the College and MTS on 23 March 2006. Through this collaboration, the College aimed to incorporate the latest CNC programming and design software into its engineering curriculum that enables the training of specialists in technical design for the engineering and manufacturing industries.
This collaboration enables TAR College students to gain additional skills as CNC machinists, complete with an industry recognized certificate, in addition to their Diploma and Advanced Diploma.

This MOU signifies the collaboration between two leading organizations that share a common objective to train and enhance the knowledge and skills of Malaysian manpower in order to build a strong knowledge-based economy,” Ms Yoong, the College Principal espoused in her welcome address.

Dato’ Liow Tiong Lai, Chairman of MCA Youth represented Dato’ Seri Ong Ka Ting, the College Chairman and President of MCA, to officiate the event. In his speech, read out by Dato’ Liow, he said that with this arrangement “TAR College students will be exposed to advanced designing software and methodology which will provide them with an edge in the modern manufacturing industry.”

The audience was then treated to a video clip which demonstrated the prowess of the programme in assisting students perform their design work. After some refreshments, they were given a tour of the MTS facilities to cap off the day.
