TAR College Opens Its Doors for School Visits
The School Visits were initiated beginning last year to create awareness and to promote TAR College as a potential educational institution of higher learning. Since its inception, it has met with overwhelming response reaching a total of 59 school visits up until now. It gives students an insight into the realm of campus life with its talks on the variety of courses offered, useful tips on career guidance and also an hour-long campus tour. The pictures below depict the campus tour in a nutshell.
1st Stop: Clubhouse
Time: 10.30 a.m.
    
“Hey! I can do this. I could lose a few kilos in the process.”

The Clubhouse contains a gym, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, seminar rooms, squash courts and a cafeteria.
 
2nd Stop: DKE
Time: 10.35 a.m.
"Out with school lessons, in comes college lectures."

The DK E is a lecture hall used mostly for public talks and seminars, staff programmes and in-house functions.
 
3rd Stop: Mass Comm. Lab
Time: 10.40 a.m.
“Did you know that these G5 Apple computers are worth 20 K each?”
The Mass Comm. Lab has state-of-the-art computers specially catered for Mass Communication students.
4th Stop: Rumah Tetamu
Time: 10.50 a.m.
    
“Wish we could stay here, it’s so cosy!”



The Rumah Tetamu has 11 twin-sharing and 20 single rooms for the occupancy of staff, alumni and participants of seminars.
 
5th Stop: Sports Complex
Time: 11.00 a.m.
“Let’s line up and take turns playing tennis.”

The Sports Complex houses 2 multi-purpose halls, 3 rooftop tennis courts, 4 basketball courts, 5 table tennis courts and 6 badminton courts.
 
6th Stop: Library
Time: 11.10 a.m.
"The Leaning Tower of Books."


The Library’s Online Resources are accessible at anytime, anywhere over the web for staff and students of TAR College.
7th Stop: CITC
Time:11.20a.m.
“A great place to get connected.”

The CITC provides IT management support and services to administrative and academic usage in TAR College. In addition, this Centre provides Internet/Intranet services to students and staff.
 
8th Stop: Hostel
Time: 11.30 a.m.
“Round we go round the hostel rooms, the hostel rooms, the hostel rooms.”

The Hostel has a capacity for 2,000 students. 1,400 allocated for girls and 600 for boys.
