On behalf of all TAR College staff and students, we would like to congratulate our Council Chairman, YB Tan Sri Ong Ka Ting on the conferment of the Panglima Mangku Negara (PMN) award by His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di–Pertuan Agong Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah on the occasion of His Majesty’s Birthday on 6 June 2009.
Tan Sri Ong has in him traits of perseverance, diligence, courage and compassion. In the course of his work as a politician and Council Chairman of TAR College, he has not only demonstrated these virtues but being a true leader, he has also imparted these same qualities to others. Being a dynamic leader, Tan Sri Ong believed that pockets of people in society should not be excluded from the community nor be left out in the decision-making process because of their lower status, weaker economic standing, disabilities both physical and intellectual and gender.
This Award is a fitting recognition of the many contributions YB Tan Sri Ong have done for the community and nation. We are very proud and happy for our Council Chairman on receiving this prestigious Award, which again recognises his far-sighted vision and unflinching commitment in providing quality education to all Malaysians.
We are confident that TAR College will continue to grow from strength to strength under YB Tan Sri Ong’s leadership for many more years to come! |

Tan Sri Ong Ka Ting on being conferred Darjah Kebesaran Panglima Mangku Negara (P.M.N.), which carries the title “Tan Sri” by Duli Yang Maha Mulia Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong XIII Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah.
