Getting Serious with Job Hunt at Job Camp

Three Microsoft professional courses were conducted from 26 February – 20 April 2007 under the Job Camp programme for Computer Science Advanced Diploma graduates. The three courses were namely Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) and Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD).

The Job Camp programme was an initiative by Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) to develop the skills of available k-workers (graduates) so that they are able to assume the vacant positions in MSC Malaysia Status companies. This initiative was implemented by MDeC with the support of MSC K-Workers Development Institute (MSC KDI).

A participant of the programme said: “I really benefited a lot from this Job Camp programme. I would like to thank TAR College for coordinating with Microsoft training partners to provide us with this opportunity to learn the latest technology.

MDeC-KDI worked with appointed training providers to conduct these courses. Microsoft Malaysia has proposed   that   these  courses  be  conducted  at  the

College by two of their Microsoft Gold Certified Partners for Learning Solutions who have been appointed by MDeC-KDI as their training partners, namely Info Trek Sdn Bhd and Iverson Associates Sdn Bhd. The Job Camp programme was fully funded by the Government via MDeC.

Undivided attention: Participants of the training programme were absorbed in what the trainers imparted at one of our Computer Science labs.
