On Saturday, 12 May 2007, the usually quiet Clubhouse was bursting with excitement as alumni from the School of Pre-University and Extra-Mural Studies Department came home for a reunion with their beloved alma mater.
Most of them have never set foot into the College since their graduation decades ago. From the moment they arrived, they were gasping in awe as they saw before their own eyes the tremendous development that has taken place after they have left the College. Sounds of merriment echoed in the Clubhouse’s Function Room as they reminisced back to the good ol’ days when they were still students trying to excel in their studies. Back then, the College barely had enough facilities, with students having to endure the stuffy afternoon heat during lectures. Now, students enjoy a vibrant campus life complete with cutting edge academic and recreational facilities. |

During the reunion, the alumni were treated to a College Corporate Video presentation, briefed on the latest development in the College, and taken for a guided tour around the campus. During the tour, one of them jokingly remarked, “If I knew the College would have so many top notch facilities, I should have waited until now to pursue my tertiary studies!” When they were told that they could still enjoy all the facilities that the College has to offer by applying for an Alumni Membership, many of them were elated with the thoughtfulness and generosity of the College.
Although the reunion was short, it allowed the alumni to feel an overwhelming sense of pride to be a part of the TAR College family after seeing how the College has grown to provide greater opportunities for the younger generation. |
