Happy Ending for 1,210 TAR College Students
|
| A sea of happy,
smiling faces filled the hall of TAR College Main Campus on 25 May
2007. All of them were decked in black and adorned with their respective
school colours, happily chatting and congratulating each other. Happy
faces in TAR College can be due to a large number of reasons but the
top three reasons are probably either because the examinations are
over, the holidays are approaching, or the convocation is upon us.
With the black robes and mortarboards, this joyous scene could only
be the convocation, the Advanced Diploma Convocation to be exact.

The convocation marked a well deserved climax of academic pursuit. The happy faces meant no more examinations and no more burning the midnight oil!!! A total of 1,210 students graduated after an enriching and fulfilling four years with the College.
Chong Hwa Chong, a Mechanical Engineering graduate, summed it up best when asked of his time at the campus. “Happy” was the word he used. When pressed further, he said he was pleased to have taken part in an active campus life. Apart from studying, he took full advantage of the many facilities to indulge in sports such as football as well as surfing the Internet in his favourite place: The library. |

Wang Phei San, who emerged the top of the heap and grabbed the CIMA Book Prize, was of the opinion that the environment in TAR College was warm and friendly. She was planning to pursue her Masters in Business Management in Napier University, Scotland, and later work there to gain some international exposure.
Another graduate, Yuen Hui Sian of the School of Business studies said the campus experience was great and she was looking forward to going to the UK for her Honours degree conversion programme.
To Phei San, Hwa Chong, Hui Sian and all the other graduates, congratulations and all the best! |
Larger than life …. Proud parents get to see their children getting their scrolls from guest of honour Dato’ Sri Chan Kong Choy. |

Well done …. Datuk Seri Dr Fong Chan Onn congratulating the students after the convocation. |
