Library Resources Anywhere, Anytime
Imagine it is 2 am and you are about to finish working on a project that is due in six hours. Everything was going fine, until you realize you need one extra bit of information for your report. The Library is closed, but fret not, as since 2 May 2006, students and staff of TAR College can have convenient access to the Library’s online resources anywhere, anytime over the Internet. The following databases are remotely accessible:

• Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Digital Library
• Ebrary (over 25,000 full-text e-books)
• Emerald Fulltext (126 full-text e-journals)
• Encyclopedia Britannica Online
• Expanded Academic ASAP (over 2,300 full-text e-journals)
• ProQuest (over 2,800 full-text e-journals)

Remote access to the TAR College Library’s online resources further supports the College’s educational programmes and meets the reference and research needs of students and staff. It is a great help in searching for information to students and staff alike.
"Being able to access Library resources from the comfort of my home is absolutely fantastic,” said Ng Khang Fei, who is pursuing his Advanced Diploma in Technology (Electronic Engineering). “All I need to do is just to get online and log into the TAR College Intranet."
“It’s a fantastic development!” enthused Mr Aaron Chan, a staff who ranks the Library as one of his favourite hangouts in the campus. “One literally has access to thousands of books and journals at the click of the mouse. You can even do it at home, in Starbucks, or at your local neighbourhood hotspot. Research has been made very convenient and I wish I had this facility when I was studying.”
