On 14 and 15 November 2007, 51 firms comprising of multinational corporations, large and medium-sized firms converged at TAR College Sports Complex to source for potential employees amongst graduating students.
This annual affair officiated by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Ong Tee Keat, was a golden opportunity for employers to provide more information on their firms in order to attract potential employees from the College’s huge pool of talent. Graduating students can, in turn, evaluate their career options at these firms based on their skills, knowledge, and interest.
Many firms such as Accenture, Hewlett Packard, Gamuda, Genting Berhad, Maxis, and the Sunway Group set up booths and some handed out free gifts to publicise their presence and attract as many visitors as possible.
Prior to the career fair, a series of talks were held aimed at providing graduating students with up-to-date information on the job market and the job search process. Quizzes, games, and dance performances were added to energise the events.
